This is a unique tour inside the Tapada Nacional de Mafra nature reserve just outside Lisbon, in Portugal, with a population red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, foxes, birds of prey and many other species living in this wildlife sanctuary comprised of more than 800 hectares of a fantastic scenery.


The Place
Created by King D. João V in the 18th century as a playground for the royal family and court, and also as a hunting ground, the Tapada Nacional de Mafra is a unique legacy from the past that needs to be seen to be understood. and now you've the chance to see it from a moving platform, a 4x4, in a trip made for photographers.


The Tour
Conceived for photographers that want to take the most of the discovery of Tapada's wildlife, this tour is a four hour experience. We visit the park using a jeep, following animals and the best vistas. The tour is designed for three


photographers at a time, to guarantee the best comfort and options to photograph from or close to a vehicle.

This is a "tread lightly" tour, so we are driving on designated roads and trails. There can be no guarantees of what you will see on your outing. However, you can greatly improve your chances and reduce your impact on the land by following three logical steps: take responsibility for your own actions, respect the interests of others and care for the environment.
